Ghanaian gospel musician Kofi Owusu Peprah has called on fellow gospel ministers to shift their focus from financial gain to ministry impact. Speaking on Joy Prime’s Changes show, he stressed that gospel music is a spiritual calling, not a business venture.

He urged artists to be flexible with performance charges, taking into account factors like the size of a church or type of event. “You can’t put a price on the cross,” he said, referencing Jesus’ sacrifice.

Kofi Owusu Peprah also noted that while musicians deserve fair compensation to cover logistics and support staff, any event organizer led by the Holy Spirit would naturally reward artists appropriately.
